There are lots of things to think about before choosing the right company to install your new fence. To help with that, we’ve compiled a short list of 4 Do’s and Don’ts to help you choose the right one, while managing expectations.
DO research the different options available
Just like convenience stores, there’s a fence company on every corner. Well, maybe not really, but you get the idea. With that being said, it’s important to take the time to research different options that are available to you. Things like the reputation of the company, how long they’ve been in business, and the quality of their craftsmanship are all important things to consider.
DON’T skimp on high quality products
If you’re making an investment in a fence, you’re going to want to make sure the highest quality products are being used. Chances are, the better quality products, the better warranty they might have. Not only that, but a company that uses high quality products are going to stand behind their craftsmanship. We can all agree that both are a must for a long lasting fence.
DO be realistic and up front about your timeline
When researching and planning for your new fence you probably want it to be built as soon as possible. As a customer it’s important to understand what a typical time frame might look like. For example, at Ozark Fence, it doesn’t take more than a week to tear down the old fence and install a new one. It may however take a couple weeks, up to a couple of months for us to begin depending on our current workload. Your fence company should set these expectations early on with open communication so there are no misunderstandings.
DON’T choose solely on price
As with everything, you get what you pay for. The cost may come in the form of craftsmanship or quality materials. Remember, having a new fence installed should be looked at as an investment, and something that will last a long time. So when choosing the right company don’t focus only on the price. Take a look at things like the longevity of the business, customer reviews, quality of the products used and their reputation of craftsmanship.
